You can receive and reply to Instagram Direct Messages (DMs) directly from your Take App inbox. This integration helps you manage all your customer conversations in one place, whether they come from Instagram, WhatsApp or your web chatbot.

How to Connect Your Instagram Account

1. In your admin dashboard, go to Admin → Instagram (under Sales Channels)

2. Click the Connect to Instagram Business button to start linking your account. You will be redirected to Instagram.

Important: Your Instagram must be a Professional Account (either Business or Creator) to connect successfully.

3. Enter your username and password, then click Log in.

4. Grant Take App access by toggling on "Access and manage messages", then click Allow. This permission is required to receive and reply to DMs.

6. Once connected, you’ll see your Instagram account listed in the settings.

Viewing and Replying to DMs in Take App

After connecting:

  • Go to Chats → Inbox.

  • New Instagram DMs will start appearing. Please note that past Instagram conversations will not be synced. Messages will only appear if a customer sends you a new message after the connection.

  • Each Instagram message will have an Instagram icon next to it, so you can easily identify the source.

  • You’ll see the customer’s username and whether they follow your business.

  • You can reply directly from your Take App inbox, and your response will be sent via Instagram DM.

Embedding Instagram Posts in Product Pages

After connecting your Instagram account, you can embed your posts directly into your product pages.

To embed a post:

  1. Go to Channels > Instagram

  2. You will see your Instagram posts. Click on the tag icon of the post you want to embed.

  3. Check the boxes next to the products you want and then click Select.

The selected post will now appear embedded on your product page, allowing customers to see your Instagram content alongside the product details.

Embedding Instagram posts adds social proof and makes your product pages more engaging by showing real photos and interactions from your Instagram feed.
