Product reviews let your customers leave ratings and feedback that appear directly on your product pages — helping shoppers decide and building trust in your store.
Where reviews appear
Product page — Reviews tied to an order containing that product appear in the “Reviews” section.
Reviews page — Every store has a shareable
/reviewslink where customers can browse all reviews or submit a new one.
How product reviews are linked
Take does not support writing reviews for an individual product.
When a customer writes a review with their order info attached (e.g. via the “Write a review” button on the invoice, or a review request link), the review appears on the product page of every product included in that order.
When a customer writes a review at
/reviewswithout any order info, the review appears on the/reviewspage only — it does not appear on any product page.
To show reviews on product pages, you must collect them through an order-linked path.
Setup checklist
Turn on the review section — Go to Admin → Editor → Appearance → Advanced optionsand enable the Show reviews toggle.
Choose a review collection channel — Use one or more of the methods in “How to collect reviews” below.
(Optional) Automate review requests — Configure a Review Request Workflow.
How to collect reviews
For reviews to appear on product pages, they must come from an order-linked path. There are three options:
Share your
/reviewslink — Copy the link at the top of Admin → Reviews and share it on social media, receipts, or messages. Reviews submitted here appear on the/reviewspage only — not on product pages. (WhatsApp not required.)“Write a review” button on the invoice — Customers see a Write a review button on their order invoice page. Reviews are automatically linked to that order and appear on the product pages of every item in it. Enabled by default, no setup needed. (WhatsApp not required.)
Send review requests (automatic or manual) — Send a WhatsApp message inviting the customer to leave a review. Reviews are automatically linked to the order and appear on product pages. See “Sending review requests” below. (Requires WhatsApp Business connected.)
Sending review requests: automatic vs manual
Automatic — the workflow sends messages for you. Once configured, review request messages are sent automatically based on order status. → Request review in WhatsApp
Manual — you send the message yourself. In Admin, open an Order detail or Customer detail page, go to the message menu, and click Send review request.
⚠️ Important: Custom URL warning
When configuring a Review Request Workflow, you can optionally set a Custom URLto send customers to an external review site (e.g. Google Reviews, Trustpilot).
If a Custom URL is set, reviews submitted there are NOT stored as Take Product Reviews. They only live on the external site and do not appear on your product pages or your /reviews page.
To collect reviews that show on your product pages, leave the Custom URL field empty.

Yes. In Admin → Reviews, click the visibility toggle on any review to hide it from your storefront without deleting it.
