Add a delay to a workflow

Add a delay step to a workflow so an action runs a set time after the trigger — for example, sending a review request a few days after an order.

You can add a delay to a workflow so that an action runs a set amount of time after the trigger, instead of immediately.

How to add a delay

  1. Go to Settings → Workflow.

  2. Click Create Workflow, then Create from scratch.

  3. Under Trigger, set When to the event that starts the workflow (for example, New order).

  4. Click + Add delay and enter how long the workflow should wait before the action runs.

  5. Under Action, choose what to do (for example, Send WhatsApp), then select your template and the recipient.

  6. Click Save.

Examples

  • Send a Google review request a few days after an order — for example, 3 days after the order.

  • When an order is confirmed, send a check-in message to the customer 5 days later.

For the rest of the workflow setup, see Create Workflow.
