Login via OTP requires automated WhatsApp message delivery. If your store is unable to send WhatsApp messages, login-related features will be unavailable.
When does this happen?
Login will not work in the following cases:
During the $1 trial
When you have no WhatsApp message quota after subscribing to a paid plan
On the Basic plan
What changes in your storefront?
When WhatsApp messages cannot be sent:
The login button will be hidden from your storefront
The feature "require login at checkout" will be unavailable
The login & earn rewards banner will be unavailable
Why this happens
Customers need to receive a WhatsApp OTP to log in. If messages cannot be delivered, login cannot be completed. To prevent a broken experience, login-related features are automatically disabled or hidden.
What you can do
To enable login features again:
Ensure your WhatsApp message quota is available
Upgrade to a plan that supports WhatsApp messaging (if applicable)
