How to add payment processing fee to transfer this cost to customers
Navigate to the payment methods section. Notice that Stripe charges an extra 3.5%.
Decide to transfer this cost to customers by charging an extra 4% payment processing fee.
Apply this change to customers by clicking on
Save. Notice that the customer's total amount due will now include the transaction cost of 4%.
Return to the dashboard.
Reviewing the Changes
Navigate to 'Orders' and select an unpaid order.
Go to the payment link and observe that Stripe now includes an additional 4% payment processing fee. The original price has increased.
Click on 'Pay' to see the new cost of paying for this item.
