  • Send WhatsApp workflow messages from your own WhatsApp Business account

  • Talk to customers from the connected WhatsApp Business account via Inbox

  • Send broadcast to any customer from the connected WhatsApp Business account

  • Sync your products to WhatsApp Catalog daily

This guide provides steps to integrate a WhatsApp Business Account with the Take App store.

Go to Settings > WhatApp Business

There are 2 options

  1. "Both my mobile phone and Take App Inbox"

  2. "Take App Inbox only"

This guide is for option 2. For option 1, refer to https://help.take.app/en/articles/10724890-whatsapp-business-app-integration

Initiate the onboarding process with Facebook by clicking on Connect with Facebook.

Choose "Create a new WhatsApp Business account" to prevent data loss from your existing WhatsApp Business account. You will lose access to WhatsApp Business app if you connect with us.

Upon completion of the Facebook onboarding process, wait for the page to refresh.

It may take a few days for Meta to review your WhatsApp Business Account and sync with Take App

What do those status badges mean?

Profile - status

WhatsApp Business Account status

Profile - verification status

Current status of business verification of Meta Business Account which owns this WhatsApp Business Account

expired, failed, ineligible, not_verified, pending, pending_need_more_info, pending_submission, rejected, revoked, verified

Phone - status

Operating status of the business phone number.

  • BANNED — The business phone number cannot be used to send messages due to a violation of one or more policies.

  • CONNECTED — The business phone number is associated with a WhatsApp Business Account, is registered for Cloud API use, and can be used to send and receive messages to and from WhatsApp users.

  • DELETED — The business phone number cannot be used to send messages because it has been deleted from Cloud API. This happens 30 day after the number is deleted via WhatsApp Manager.

  • DISCONNECTED — The business phone number cannot be used to send messages because it has been deregistered for use with Cloud API.

  • FLAGGED — The business phone number cannot be used to send messages because WhatsApp users have reported it for spamming.

  • MIGRATED — The business phone number has been migrated from one WhatsApp Business Account to another.

  • PENDING — The business phone number has been associated with a WhatsApp Business Account, but cannot be used to send messages because it has not been registered for use with Cloud API. Register the number to get it into a usable state.

  • RATE_LIMITED — The business phone number cannot be used to send messages because it has received poor quality feedback from WhatsApp users.

  • RESTRICTED — The business phone number cannot be used to send messages because it has reached its messaging limit.

  • UNKNOWN — The business phone number cannot be used to send messages for an unknown reason. Reregistering the number may fix the problem.

  • UNVERIFIED — The business phone number is not verified. This does not indicate whether or not the number can be used to send messages, however. Once a number is verified, it remains verified for 14 days, then reverts to an unverified state. Business phone numbers can only be registered for Cloud API use while in a verified state.

Phone - name status

A business phone number display name is the name that appears in WhatsApp Manager. It can also be displayed in WhatsApp chat thread headers, chat lists, and its profile, if the following conditions are met:

  • The business portfolio that owns the WhatsApp Business Account associated with the business phone number has completed business verification.

  • The business phone number's name_status is APPROVED.

Once the above conditions are met, the business phone number's verified_name (Display name in WhatsApp Manager) is displayed.

Note that if a WhatsApp user has edited the business's profile name within the app, its edited name will be displayed instead.

You can set a display name when you add a business phone number in the App Dashboard > WhatsApp > API Setup panel, or in the WhatsApp Manager > Account tools > Phone numbers panel, if you haven't reached your phone number limit.

If you submit your business portfolio for verification and it becomes verified, we will either:

  • approve your display name

  • reject your display name

  • ask you to message more

In each case, we will notify you by phone_number_name_update webhook and Meta Business Suite notification.

If approved, we will set your business phone number's name_status to APPROVED.

If rejected, we will set your business phone number's name_status to DECLINED. We recommend that you re-review our display name guidelines, edit your display name accordingly, and file an appeal via Developer Support or Enterprise Developer Support.

Once the badge displays Active after syncing, it will present a Send test message option. Enter the phone number to which you want to send the test message.

Lastly, you'll receive the test message on the provided number. From this point onward, all workflow messages will be dispatched through your own WhatsApp Business account.
